Entry
1. Eligibility
- Entrants must reside in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, China or the United States (excluding the states of New York and Florida as well as Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions).
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or over, and as at the date of entry, an Alumnus of the Promoter.
- For the purposes of this promotion, the term Alumnus means any:
- graduate of the Promoter or its antecedent institution;
- student who is currently enrolled in a tertiary or approved course with the Promoter, who will be conferred their award or degree by no later than 10 April 2015;
- staff member that has been continuously employed by the Promoter for more than 5 years; or
- former staff member, that was continuously employed by the Promoter or its antecedent institution, for more than 5 years.

- Entries are limited to one (1) per person/email address. Multiple entries from any person/email address will be void.
- Entries open at 09:30am Australian Eastern Daylight Time on 19 January 2015 (12 February 2015 06:30am HKT) and close at 5:30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (2:30pm HKT) on 29 April 2015 (Entry Period). Entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted. Incomplete entries received during the Entry Period will not be accepted.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and, subject to Australian State and Territory legislation and any applicable overseas legislation, to disqualify any Entrant who does not meet the entry criteria.
- Entrants must be available to travel at a time coinciding with a 25th birthday event scheduled for the Promoter, on a date to be confirmed during the period between 1 January 2016 and 31 May 2016 (inclusive).
- The companion of the winner must be at least 18 years of age as at 1 January 2016.
2. Method
- To enter the ‘Boarding Call’ Alumni Promotion, Entrants must visit the webpage situated at: www.unisa.edu.au/boardingcall and complete all required fields.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical malfunction of any communications network used in connection with lodgement of any entry.
- The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this promotion. In particular, computer generated entries and the use of "scripting" is not permitted and will not be accepted.
- Any costs associated with accessing the above mentioned webpage is the Entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
3. Prize
- There is one (1) major prize to be won, as follows:
- If the winner resides outside of Australia, two (2) return business class tickets to Adelaide, Australia from whichever of Hong Kong, London or Los Angeles is the nearest city to the winner’s residence [valued at AUD$14,400]
OR
- If the winner resides within Australia, two (2) return business class tickets to London, United Kingdom from the Australian capital city nearest to the winner’s residence [valued at AUD$16,668]
PLUS
- Two (2) tickets to attend a designated 25th birthday celebration event for the Promoter, in either of Adelaide or London [valued at AUD$250];
- Three (3) nights’ accommodation at the Promoter’s preferred hotel (with a minimum rating of 3 stars) in Adelaide or London, as applicable [valued at AUD$980]
- Transfers to that hotel, the 25th birthday celebration venue and the airport of departure [on the return trip].
- Flights will be with any of Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific or Emirates at the discretion of the Promoter.
Prize includes:
- airport taxes;
- booking of the tickets with the Promoter’s nominated airline carrier, on the winner’s behalf; and
- booking of accommodation with the Promoter’s nominated hotel, on the winner’s behalf.
Prize excludes:
- travel insurance. However, it is highly recommended that the winner make their own arrangements in that regard;
- meals and activities, other than as already stated;
- costs of travel to the city of departure nearest to the winner’s residence;
- costs of procuring valid passports and any requisite visas, vaccinations and travel documentation;
- customs charges;
- spending money, gratuities/tips, excess baggage charges, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room hotel charges;
- costs associated with amending or cancelling flights or accommodation after booking;
- any security deposit which may be payable by the winner and/or their companion in connection with the accommodation; and
- all other ancillary costs.
- By entering the promotion, Entrants acknowledge that there may be other costs and expenses associated with participating in the promotion and collecting or using the prize, and that these costs and expenses are the sole responsibility of, and will be borne by, the winner.
- The winner will receive no refunds, credits or substitutions based on variations in the airline carrier or hotel accommodation price.
- The prize will only be awarded following validation and verification of the winner and their entry. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Flights and accommodation for the winner and their companion will be booked by the Promoter within ninety (90) days of the draw being notified and the winner must provide the Promoter with all necessary information to complete the booking. Travel must be taken so that the winner and their companion can attend the Promoter’s 25th birthday celebration to occur in during the period between 1 January 2016 and 31 May 2016 (inclusive) - to be confirmed by the Promoter.
- If for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or an element of its prize) at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
- The winner and their companion will need to make their own way to one of the above mentioned departure points nearest to the winner’s residence.
- Itineraries are to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
- Winners may be required to present their credit card or other form of deposit at the time of accommodation check-in for security purposes.
- The winner and any companion must, as a condition of accepting the prize:
- travel together on the same itinerary;
- make themselves available on the dates outlined in these Terms;
- be willing and able to travel to the locations outlined in these Terms;
- submit medical information to the Promoter promptly upon reasonable request, and submit to any reasonable medical examinations or probity or background checks that may be necessary to establish that the winner and any companion are able to travel to the locations described in the relevant Prize(s); and
- sign the Promoter’s:
- deed of release in relation to the use of their names and images for promotional purposes; and
- deed of indemnity and exclusion of liability.
- By entering this promotion, and by collecting the prize, the winner and their companion acknowledge and accept that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or civil commotion that may occur whilst the winner and their companion are travelling. It is the responsibility of the winner and their companion to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations, prior to travel. The Promoter does not guarantee that the winner will enjoy the travel prize or be suited to the type of travel prize that is offered.
- Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner and their companion. All travel will be subject to the nominated airline carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage and the laws of any destination country. Attendance at any venue at which the prize is collected, or any event comprising part of the prize, is subject to the terms and conditions of entry imposed by the third party venue.
- The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including local government, local consular offices and the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade situated at: www.smartraveller.gov.au
- All prize details are at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
4. Total prize pool
- The total maximum value of the prize is AUD$17,898 (US$14,748). The actual value may vary based on the departure city and is subject to the availability of airfares coinciding with the Promoter’s 25th birthday celebrations.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prize (including any unused portion of it) cannot be transferred, exchanged or taken as cash.
5. Events outside of the Promoter’s control
In the event of:
- war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster;
- an event affecting the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion; or
- any other circumstance outside the reasonable control of the Promoter,
the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and award the prize as otherwise deemed fair and
appropriate by the Promoter, subject to any applicable Australian State and Territory legislation and any applicable law of an overseas
jurisdiction.
6. Prize draw
- One (1) major prize will be drawn at 1:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (10:00am HKT) on 1 May 2015.
- The winner will be drawn by random electronic draw using a program incorporating a VBA macro at the Premises of Permitz Group, 18 Karalta Road Erina NSW 2250 Australia.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Prize winner announcement and prize collection
- The winner will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw, addressed to the contact email address that the winner submitted to the Promoter when entering the promotion.
- Prize award is subject to compliance with these Terms.
- The winner’s name will be published on 4 May 2015 online at www.unisa.edu.au/boardingcall for a period of twenty eight (28) days and in The Australian, the South China Morning Post and Ming Pao on 8 May 2015
- Prize confirmation will be sent within 28 days of the draw, by registered post to the street address that the winner submitted to the Promoter when entering the promotion.
- If the winner does not claim their prize on or before 12 August 2015 by written confirmation to the Promoter or is not in compliance with these Terms or winner and/or companion fails to sign and return all required documentation within the specified time period, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited any right to their prize.
- In the event of a prize forfeit, the Promoter may conduct a further draw on 13 August 2015 by the same method and at the same place (random electronic draw using a program incorporating a VBA macro at 1.00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time at Permitz Group, 18 Karalta Road Erina NSW 2250 Australia) in order to distribute the unclaimed prize, subject to any applicable Australian State and Territory legislation and law of an overseas jurisdiction.
- The winner of any further draw will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw, addressed to the contact email address that the winner submitted to the Promoter when entering the promotion. Their name will also be published on 15 August 2015 at www.unisa.edu.au/boardingcall for twenty eight (28) days and in The Australian, the South China Morning Post and Ming Pao on 19 August 2015.
8. Personal information
- In order for an Entrant to participate in this promotion, it is necessary for the Entrant to provide the Promoter with his/her personal information (Personal Data). The Promoter will be unable to process an entry without the Personal Data and further the Promoter cannot use the Personal Data for any of the purposes mentioned in this section without the Entrant’s consent.
- Therefore by submitting an entry into this promotion, the Entrant acknowledges, agrees and consents that the Personal Data (including his/her name, telephone number, address, email address and other communication information provided through an entry) may be retained and used by the Promoter and its related entities for the Entrant’s participation in this promotion and the other purposes mentioned below should consent be given by the entrant. If Entrant does not agree, please do not submit an entry. The Entrant may however withdraw consent at any time by written notification to the Promoter.
- The Personal Data may be used by the Promoter and its related entities for any of the following purposes should consent be given by the entrant:
- Direct marketing to the Entrant through sending marketing and promotional messages from the Promoter to the Entrant including messages sent electronically, by electronic mail, short messaging service or otherwise. The Promoter will give Entrants the option to opt-out at any time with instructions provided in each message sent.
- Conducting this promotion (including but not limited to determining and notifying winners) and promoting the services and other offerings of the Promoter.
- The normal management, operation and maintenance of this promotion.
- Investigation of complaints.
- Disclosure as required by relevant laws and regulations.
- The Promoter will otherwise handle the Personal Data in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at http://w3.unisa.edu.au/footer/privacy/ and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the relevant jurisdiction for the entry. You may request access to, check, seek the correction of, or withdraw your consent to use of, your Personal Data by notifying us in writing and addressed to:

9. Further conditions of entry
- By entering the promotion, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed and having their comments published (whether in complete or modified form). The winner grants to the Promoter (and will procure that their companion grants to the Promoter) a perpetual, non-exclusive and royalty-free licence to use such footage, photographs and comments in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, and the winner (and their companion) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner (including photography, film and/or other recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion and the services and other offerings of the Promoter.
- Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of the prize.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties, guarantees, rights, remedies, liabilities and other terms which may be implied by statute, custom or the common law are excluded from the promotion and these Terms. If:
- any supply under these Terms is a supply of goods or services to a consumer within the meaning of the Australian Consumer Law; or
- these Terms are subject to implied or statutory guarantees or warranties under the law of any applicable jurisdiction which cannot be excluded,
nothing contained in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies the application of any such provision, guarantee or warranty (Non-Excludable Provisions).
- If any supply under these Terms is a supply of goods or services to a consumer within the meaning of the Australian Consumer Law, to the extent that the Australian Consumer Law permits the Promoter to limit its liability, then the Promoter’s liability will be limited to:
- in the case of services, the cost of supplying the services again or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again; and
- in the case of goods, the cost of replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods or having the goods repaired, or payment of the cost of replacing the goods, supplying the goods or having the goods repaired.
- Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Provisions, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
- any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);
- any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
- any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
- any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms;
- any tax liability incurred by a winner or Entrant; or
- use of a prize (including any travel or activity related thereto).

These Terms are to be exclusively interpreted and governed by the laws applicable in South Australia, Australia.
